Good to know
The parking area is at 1489 Greenbush Road, about 1.3 miles north of Ferry Road, and notices for the park are posted at the kiosk there. Dogs and other pets are not allowed; the town says this protects ground-nesting birds and other wildlife. Camping and staying overnight are prohibited, as are fires, weapons and alcohol. Horses may use only the designated gravel trails. Hunting is not allowed unless the Selectboard acts. About 290 acres with 2.25 miles of gravel trail according to the brochure.

We read the official sources we could find, and none says whether parking here costs anything. Check posted signs when you arrive. Tell us what you found.

How we know this

Town of Charlotte trail brochure (charlottevt.org, file dated 2015 in its name) and charlottevt.org/parks_trails, read 2026-10-23. Neither states a fee. The brochure gives the parking area as 1489 Greenbush Road, which geocodes 12 m from this lot. The brochure is about ten years old, so confirm hours with the Town.

Fees, hours and rules change. Posted signs at the trailhead always override this page.
