- Seasons and hours
- The district says the site is increasingly popular for skating in winter. The caves cannot easily be reached in summer except by canoe or kayak.
- Good to know
- The park is off North Avenue in Burlington, across from Burlington High School, and the district directs visitors to the school lot. Because it is a school lot, use during school hours or events may be restricted; none of the sources say. A steep path follows the edge of a bluff down to a viewing area of the marsh. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
We read the official sources we could find, and none says whether parking here costs anything. Check posted signs when you arrive. Tell us what you found.
How we know this
Winooski Valley Park District, wvpd.org/donahue-sea-caves, read 2026-10-23: "parking is available in the Burlington High School lot across the street from the Trailhead". The lot is 93 m from Burlington High School. The park is free, but this lot belongs to the school, and no source states what the school allows.
